Hi!

I'm running seafile 2.0.4 on ubuntu 12.04 and when I setup seafile using the mysql script (setup-seafile-mysql.sh), I just left everything at the default values assuming that I'd be able to change things later on. Now I want to change the location of the seafile-data directory (where the data is stored "in the cloud"). I cant find any information on how or where to do that. Changing ports or IP addresses seems easy, but how do I move that directory to a new location?

Thanks for any hints!

/Christoph

Unfortunately this link is dead since you changed to server manual-format (many other links too).

[although: web.archive.org works somewhat]

From Seafile server manual faq section:

How to change seafile-data location after setup?

Modify file seafile.ini under ccnet. This file contains the location of seafile-data. Move seafile-data to another place, like /opt/new/seafile-data. Then modify the file accordingly.
