ACES book club 3/27 7 pm in Grant Park

Just a quick note that ACES will have its next book club meeting on Thursday March 27th at 7:00 pm at Ziba's Restaurant in Grant Park. The discussion will begin with a panel featuring the AJC's Maureen Downey, Georgia State University professor Katherine Hinkins, Grady Southerner editor Quinn Mulholland and Neighborhood Charter principal Matt Underwood. 

We'll be discussing Diane Ravitch's Death and Life of the Great American School System. When The Death and Life of the Great American School System was published, it sent ripples through the education world, partially because it marked a reversal of course for author and former U.S. Assistant Secretary of Education, Diane Ravitch. Four years later, it remains an important book in any education policy discussion.
