We’re coming up on our first milestone May 7th. After that, we should have the majority of the design locked down, leads in place and prototyping about to start – that means YOU will be able to play with tools and stuff!
What do you need to do to get involved?
First off, figure out where your passion, talents & availability fit. Read the Social Contract (http://bit.ly/Jxa0KA). Then, contact the team lead for the area you want to join (see the list, below). Or, if there's no team lead for that area, volunteer to be a team lead!
Finally, join SeaCoRE-Announce (http://bit.ly/IqpPkf). This should be under 2 messages a week, so please don’t filter or digest.
Also, show up for Potluck 4/30. Casey and I will be having at least one formal meeting, and the rest of the leads will be there to answer your questions. If you can’t make it, we’ll also be having our first fundraiser @Contour May 11th.
Teams
We’ve broken down focus into 5 major teams.

(Paul Barclay) – Power, lighting & structural integrity

(Casey Frank) – Major infrastructure, no froofy stuff
3. Design/build http://bit.ly/JGL9SU
(Olga & Cari Hill) – overall design, artistic vision & froofy stuff. This will be accomplished by 3 sub-teams:

- Trees (tbd)

(Steve Barta) – All the admin & logistics needed to facilitate the project. Several of the formal roles are yet unfilled.
- Fundraising: Howard "Reddick" Boyd.
- Controller: David Lockhart
- PR (tbd) Social Media guru, promotion, etc
- Recruiting: (tbd) Move Talent towards the teams
- Liason: Compass - Intra-team knowledge swap
- Logistics: Gearbox – facilities, transportation, etc
- IT: Michael Holden & Gearbox – website, groups
- Historian (tbd) Document our awesomesauce
- P2 Coordination (tbd) Coordinate all the great ideas that don’t have to happen
5. Camp (pending) – Setup, kitchen, teardown, moop, and keeping the hot tub running
