Long & important. Please read.
We have identified a build space! Much thanks to Casey & Gabe. This will be in the Big Yellow Building at 99 & the West Seattle Fwy. I expect to have the keys in hand today, but certainly before Friday. This should be large enough to house both the CORE project and extra bicycles/gear for transport to Playa. Leads will get be informed how/where to find the keys when I know.
Several large expenses are coming in less than projected (notably rent & trucking to playa). At this point I believe our fundraising team can handle the rest of our financing needs. While this may change, at this time we are removing the personal dues requirement ($200) from the social contract. If you submitted this via the first Kickstarter, please let me know directly. Note that we *may* need to ask for personal contributions as we get closer to shipping (likely under $50). Also note this is for CORE, not the camp dues - if you are camping with us, Barry still needs to pay for camp expenses.
That said, we're still running a fundraiser at Contour June 8th. If you can contribute to the silent auction, please register here:
http://bit.ly/KWJUgO We also need help promoting the event:
http://on.fb.me/L8BOSE This is partially to raise additional funds from the wider Community (drink) and partially to crowdsource additional bodies - construction starts Sat June 9th!
Early Admission - If you are part of our build team and can be on playa Wed Aug 22nd please let me know ASAP. I need to get names to BMOrg by noon 6/1. Note this will be a work party Wed-Sun AM as we are committed to having a finished project by dawn Sunday. I think we have this covered, but I'd like to know if anyone else feels they should be part of the early crew :)
Lastly - TICKETS!!! BMOrg has a 10 tickets to sell you. $390, payment due mid-june. I need to submit names & email by June 1st. So far I have ~8 names identified. Please don't leave these on the table and ask in July!
