July memorial service for "Dobro" Gene, wonderful
musician and kind soul. I will announce this
again in late June or July, but in case you want
to take note now, there is an invitation
attached. This came from Gene's daughter.

Hi David,

Charliss Held referred me to you as someone to
contact regarding a gathering in my dad's honor.
I appreciated the tribute that you published
about him. I have rented the picnic shelter at
Silverdale Waterfront Park at 3337 NW Byron
Street in Silverdale. It will be an informal
drop-in, or stay, casual gathering with picnic
food. All are welcome, and it would be a special
treat if some of his musician buddies want to
bring some instruments and jam. The gathering
will be on July 16, 2025 from noon until 4pm.
Feel free to spread the word. Also feel free to
share my email address with anyone who is
interested in attending. I bought some
invitations, but don't have anyone's address, so
I wanted to be sure that everyone knows it is an
open invitation to all who cared about my dad.Â
