I just wanted to share a thought, in case any of you hadn't had it
previously. I think additionally to setting up PETREL, I think the
seabird groups that don't have a webpage, should be offered a "group
profile" to hold basic information, contact details, and possibly
other requirements that they might have. This should hopefully not add
too much work for a future web admin.

Any thoughts?

Hey sjurour,

That is a pretty good idea I think - many of the seabird groups don't have much in webspace, and at least profile pages on each of them could be created. PSG and the seabird group already have websites (for example), and we could have limited profiles of those, with links to their own webpages for further information.
I like it

Cheers
Grant

Indeed a good idea. I have seen something similar on other interest
group sites, and it seems to work ok.

Hi there!

I think so too. A group profile with contact details and link to the main webpage would be a good thing to have.

Cheers,
Moritz

Hi All,

I think Sjúrður's idea to create some sort of profile/link to the regional seabird groups is a good one, too.  If memory serves I don't believe we provided this information for our personal profiles, but that might be something that we want to include.  Provide users a check list of professional societies so they could select the ones that they belong too and then have these link from their profile to the groups webpage.  Anyway, at very least I think Sjúrður's idea should be incorporated into seabirds.net.

Cheers,
Peter
