Seabirds.net now officially LIVE

HI everyone,

I wanted to thank you all for input you've provided over the last couple of years.  I am happy to report that after all that time, planning and hard work, Seabirds.net is officially LIVE!

I encourage everyone to go to www.seabirds.net and sign up for an account. 

1)  It will give you access to PETREL (the personnel directory) which will allow you to search for other scientists and allow them to search for you by seabird family of interest, institution, country, and eventually by member organisation. 

2)  It will allow you to post discussions and questions to the general seabird community and give you access to News articles from the World Seabird Union

3)  It will eventually allow you to search and post jobs, post graduate positions or internships

4)  The most important,  this will act as a record of your involvement with seabird research for the next generation to look back upon. 

Many other features will evolve on seabirds.net and we hope to keep the site dynamic and interesting, so please visit us frequently and keep up with developments!
