Update

Hi everyone,

Happy new Years!!
I apologize that it's been so quiet around here, but we have been
working on making sure everyone is on the same page, and many people
were away for the holiday season.

We're now back in swing and I would like to update you.

We have garnered support from the Transition Team, and everyone is in
agreement that we should move ahead with seabirds.net as we have
been.
The next steps in the process will be to find a permanent home for the
physical webpage, and to start discussing the change-over from Axiom
to us with both Axiom and the people who will be working on the page.
In the meantime, we'll most likely begin looking at building template
designs for the webpage and getting everyone here to weigh in on the
design and what you would all like to see on the webpage. Hopefully
this will soon lead to the creation of a better forum that we can all
work in, getting us away from the constraints of Google.

We can also start building a more professional looking World seabird
personnel directory (WOSPED) <- BY the way! If ANYONE can come up
with a better acronym for this it would be amazing. We could call it
the PETREL directory or something like that. A catchy name would be
nice - I'm unfortunately not creative enough to really come up with
something outstanding myself, so I'd really like it if some of you
more creative people could chyme in.
