Hello there Seattle Monkeys,

I don’t know what Ann has told you, but Kim and I and Evelyn are going to be in the Seattle from this Wednesday through Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. Kim’s parents are headed to out niece’s college graduation in Walla Walla this weekend so were thinking it would be a good time to throw a party at their house in Bellevue. They leave town Friday so Friday, Saturday, or even Sunday evening works. All are welcome. Let me know what works best for y’all.

Of course since it doesn't work for Smitty, Saturday works best for us - but second choice would be Sunday because it would be a little crammed to get us and kids over there after school/work.  But certainly do-able if there is a preference for Friday.  thx!

Let's plan for Sunday afternoon / early evening then. We are going to church in west Seattle that morning but if I have Saturday to shop we shouldn't have to do it too late in consideration of the traveling kidlets.

We'd love to make it but we're already scheduled for a birthday party for Parker's best friend/neighbor, who is moving to Bellingham next week.  Wish we could join and meet all of the offspring.

Tim does not have permission to reply to the Sea-Monkey group.  Per Tim, not by my chain.

I am thinking late Sunday afternoon.  Maybe 4ish. We are going to need food but I haven't given much thought to a menu yet.

Burgers, wieners, salmon, flank steak? All of the above? I reckon we can figure it out on here.

Alrighty. Here’s what I am thinking. I am going to buy some meat. Probably sausages of some sort and maybe some red meat if I see something I can’t walk away from. I will get buns for sausages too. We have some wine here that we are told to help ourselves to, but I would feel bad if we killed the entire wine stock so I recommend those who want wine bring some. We also have a 12-pack of Corona that we have been asked to get rid of, so I won’t feel bad if that is all gone. Anyone who wants more, or different, beer should bring it.

I haven’t the capacity to think about sides and snacks or appetizers so may I just leave that to you all? Also a slab of fish for those who might not want pig or cow might be nice.  I know we are out of practice, but I don’t recall a sea monkey ever going hungry or thirsty at a gathering. I will probably shop this evening so if I need to pick up something specific for a kidlet, let me know.

Does that work? Let me know.

If you grab some regular hot dogs, Jake & Sam will be happy.  I'll bring a couple different snacks/appetizers/sides.
