Deadline for SEARAC's New Orleans Leadership & Advocacy Training is this Sunday, March 20!

The deadline to apply for SEARAC's Leadership & Advocacy Training in New Orleans is fast approaching - Sunday, March 20! We are still accepting applications. If you are from the Gulf Coast region (Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas) or nearby states, apply today!

The SEARAC Leadership & Advocacy Trainings will be held:

  • May 22-24 (New Orleans, Louisiana)
  • July 24-26 (Washington, D.C.)

Applications to both trainings are online. Apply today!

The SEARAC Leadership and Advocacy trainings provide a forum for Southeast Asian American community leaders to participate in 3 days of advocacy education, leadership strategizing, collaborative networking, and relationship building with decision makers on issues that are specific to the Southeast Asian American community.

  • Who should attend? Southeast Asian American community members who want to learn more about policy and advocacy. In the past, we've had professionals, staff of community-based organizations, and students attend. The training is tailored to Southeast Asian Americans, but is also open to anyone working within the Southeast Asian American community who may not necessarily be Southeast Asian.
  • How much does it cost? SEARAC makes the training as affordable as possible for our participants. If you are accepted, we ask for a $75 deposit to hold your place, which will be refunded once you complete the training. Participants may also be asked to cover a small portion of their own travel if our stipend does not cover all of it.
  • Can I apply to both trainings? Applications from the Gulf Coast region will have first priority for the New Orleans training. Applications from elsewhere will be considered for the Washington, D.C. training.

For more information, visit the SEARAC Leadership & Advocacy Training page here.
