I've known about this for quite some time, but haven't done anything
about it. We use some internal com.sun.* packages, which are moving to
javax.* in Java 7, and the APIs are changing slightly.

We'll try to get a release that works on both Java 6 and Java 7 before
the Java 7 release date in late July, but I'm not making any
promises...

Is there any news about the compatibility with Java 7 ?
Indeed, I have a NoClassDefFoundError with sun/swing/plaf/synth/
SynthUI which have been moved to javax.swing.plaf.synth ()

Hi,
The trunk version in the repository will run on Java7 without exception but
still has severe repainting problems and also some other bugs.

I will try to check in some more fixes for these issues to further improve the
Java7 compability during this weekend.

Have fun,
- Rossi

Hi,
I just checked in some more fixes.
With these seaglass will run on Java 7. I roughly tested it with the Laffy
Demo and it looks quite OK. I noticed the following minor bugs:

- Vertical Sliders have a wrong offset and are not rendered correctly.
- Spinbuttons don't render the focus border if the attached text field is
selected.

That is not that critical and I expected more problems.
I'm confident that I can fix these issues in the next week or so.

More testing and feedback for Java 7 compability is welcome.

Have fun,
- Rossi
