Is there any news about the compatibility with Java 7 ?

We still don't have Java 7 available for the Mac. I haven't been able to work on it. But Rossi's branch is working for people. 

Rossi, are we ready to make a build? I have access to a Windows system if so.

Well, there's a developer beta available, but I don't want to mess up my own development environment. It's supposed to be available in a few months.

I may have to check Rossi's code out myself and see how it seems to work. If all is well, then I'll make a release. I've just been so busy with my day job…

Hi together,
I did not find mutch time to code in the last half year. Therefore things do not progress as I would like it.

I think the status of the code is good for a beta. The source in the repository will run on Java 6 and Java 7. I know about a bug with menus in OSX that makes it unusable on that platform. This is the major blocker that I wanted to fix before doing a release but I never found the time and I do not have access to an OSX plattform for full testing (only in a VM).

Some "exotic" features may be a little bit untested or buggy (e.g. unified toolbar, different component sizes).

There is some work left to make it a stable release but not mutch.

The components for my new computer have just arrived so I will assemble it today. I cannot promise anything but I will try to get into Seaglass Coding again and at least fix the major known issues to make a new build.

I wish I had more time. Since I *do* have a Mac I'll try to test in the very near future and see what I can do to resolve the menu issue. Is it in the issues? -K
