 PURE  LOVE  ESSAY  CONTEST 2010

All students from middle school through college are invited to participate!

PRIZES! 1^st- $200 and 2^nd- $100 in each grade category!

                             Essay topics and grade categories are as follows:

6^th, 7^th and 8^th grades:

How can choosing sexual purity and abstinence from drugs and alcohol impact your present and future life?

9^th and 10^th grades:

How does keeping sexual purity and abstaining from drugs and alcohol affect your relationship with your parents, siblings and peers?

11^th and 12^th grades:

How can you maintain sexual purity before marriage when the culture bombards you with sexually oriented messages and images?

College age:

1. Why do you think that all the major religions teach about sexual purity before marriage and fidelity within marriage?

2. How would you explain the importance of abstinence as a good preparation for faithful marriage to someone who is or was involved in premarital sexual relations?

 

Essays should be at least 700 words for college and high school students and 500 words for middle school students. Essays will be judged acc. to:

Content/originality; presentation of ideas and concepts; personal feelings and experiences; vocabulary and grammar, and use of supporting evidence.
