You (all of us) could actually consider the SE5-CIC as a client:
This client has generated a branding campaign across different activities / Arts - Music - Food - Cinema Festivals in Camberwell
and had arranged `co-branding framework` with them. (attached branding guidelines) Some were successfully applied - ie Food and Film - some were not ie. Palace of Varieties and some are on the way - ie Made in Camberwell... - arts festival etc..) All these events are run/managed/delivered by their own teams. The CIC is not involved in the event management.
Our only aim/role is to generate sponsorship funding as a central co-ordination point because the events are not (most of the time) big enough by them selves to attract corporate funding. Our function will be to keep their forces / volume / audience `merged` (as we did this year) and run an overlooking announcement campaign via social media and on-line on
www.camberwellcalendar.co.uk and
www.camberwellguide.co.uk. (those pages will be run by other sub-contractors) and make sure that they `satisfy` the funders branding needs (ie displaying the sponsor logos properly). Through the co-ordination of the SE5-CIC (Cool Campaign) individual events in Camberwell will stay connected and provide a year around visibility to the sponsors (ie Southwark Council at the moment - may be Barclays or Cashbackcard next year ? - maybe both of them) and all will be about having their branding on the individual events. - last years draft presentation attached. and you know about the intentions of local authorities - quiet supportive. And a local BID is also in the near futures possibilities...
An additional income of CIC besides an incentive of the generated income to cover overhead costs can be taking an incentive from the revenue/profit of the events as a `licencing fee` as well but this is a detail the board shall decide at each case. (I have submitted a list of the potential board members to Barbara - there are people with their ready skills and motivations - which just needs alignment - I could not succeed. )
You, as the Brandguardians are asked to `protect` the branding rights of the campaigners and the sponsors and draw the framework of how the money will be split between parties. A representation of Camberwell businesses will probably not happen in the following 2-3 years. So till than - the Camberwell Business Network will remain as an on-line e-group moderated by their members.
For futher details I will be in Camberwell this Saturday by 6 pm at any point you would like to meet.
Barbara, Adam - would you be also available ? And shall we call someone else ?
Best Regards
Bora
