Dear All;

We can never emphasize enough how much volunteering is valuable to all of us; yet there are so few opportunities to reward them and here is one. As the Camberwell events are now going to stay at their peak for a while with the coming May Fair and the Arts Festival after that; Jessica has an important reminder for us...

Hi Barbara, Bora, Hilary and Richard,

Firstly, I meant to get in touch last week but it completely slipped my mind – I just wanted to say how brilliant the food festival was! It was so great to see so many people enjoying the green – and to be surrounded by so much great food!

Secondly, and leading on from that, I was just thinking about SE5 Forum and all the volunteers who’ve been helping bring these events to fruition over the last few months and wondered whether there was anyone you wanted to nominate for a Volunteer of the Year Award or Southwark Star award at this year’s Southwark Stars Volunteering Awards event on Thursday 6th June? (deadline for nominations: Tues 21st May).

Volunteer of the Year Award

This year for the Volunteer of the Year Award we’re particularly looking for really inspiring community activists, young people and trustees/committee members, but more broadly for anyone who has made an outstanding contribution to people’s lives in Southwark!

I think you’ll probably already have these, but just in case not, I’ve attached the forms (Volunteer of the Year and Southwark Stars awards) to this email.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.

Have a good week,

Jessica
