Welcome Mark - I'm not too far from you - in East Troy - and we're gearing up for a 1:1 Chromebook initiative next year (this year, teachers have Chromebooks and we're dedicating all Inservices to preparing for next year). I'm half time tech integrator, half time English. If I can be of any help, just e-hollar : )

Hello Everyone!

My name is Mark Grunske, and I am the newly hired Technology Integration
Specialist for the Delavan-Darien School District. I spent the last two
decades at Waukesha West High School in the Social Studies Department,
where I taught numerous classes, with my speciality being AP World History.
My new job popped up out of nowhere and have only been on the job for
six days. Though new to the job, I have spent the last couple of years
preparing for this move. While at Waukesha West, I did a lot of training
with the staff on how to use Blackboard as well as GAFE. This past
spring I was given the title of authorized Google Trainer.

I am very excited to "reboot" my career and am excited to take everything I
have learned from other teacher-leaders and apply them to my new
environment with my own experiences and beliefs. Last year Delavan
started a 1:1 Chromebook initiative, and I look forward to helping everyone
use them more efficiently for the benefit of students.

Away from school, I am happily married with two boys (grades 4 and 6).
During the summer you will find me in our pool, at Miller Park or in my
garage playing with my saws as I pretend to be a woodworker. I also am
a collector of sports memorabilia, autographs, bobbleheads and have been
known to purchase the occasional Star Wars Action Figure to add to my
collection of those I owned back in the 1970s.

I hope to become an active member of this community, and hope to be able to
start joining some meetings once I get my feet firmly planted on the ground
here in Delavan!

Hi Everyone~

Thanks to the 25+ people that came down to South Milwaukee for our
September 30th meeting. We had great discussions and a few good laughs as
well. If you weren't able to attend, feel free to take a look at the notes.

You can find the notes from the meeting here

They are also in our shared folder.

Just a reminder that this Google Group is our communication tool, so if you

is the place to stay connected!

We are looking at the first week of December for our next meeting. I will
keep you all posted.

Please also feel free to check out the Google Educator Group SE Wisconsin.
This group is open to any and all educators that are interested in talking
best practice in teaching, personalizing learning, and maybe a few things
about Google. Please join me on the 27th of October if you can!
