Hello, Liam here reporting from Outreach.  These are some notes I took from the meeting.

Attendees: Liam(me), David, Bill, Cameron, Christina, Shiva, Dillon, Jody.

We have identified some issues in efficacy and what were trying to accomplish by having the Outreach meetings and are proposing to change the structure change.
When the Group is only six or so people there is no need to change structure but when the group is large we will start experimenting with this layout:
Intros- 15min
Braintrust (updates and brainstorm)-45 min
Planning Breakouts-on current outreach projects- 45 min
Report Back/Action Items- 15min

Agenda
Barn Raising Project- Brought to you by Yikes from OWS
Currently looking for support.
Make a list of organizations that interact with the most marginalized of the 99%
Interview these organizations to figure more deeply there needs and desire to interface with Occupy.
Research team from NE Assembly will help in this project.
Document that explains the project is attached.
Possibly starting with 5-10 orgs and needs assets mapping them to show a working model of the relationships and interdependence to be gained.
Dillon- NW Youth Alliance?

Guerrilla Flyer Squad-
Outreach is forming a force of individuals that are interested in helping spread the good word of Occupy through flyer form.  Were looking to keep people in the loop about new flyers for big Occupy Portland Events, getting together to do Flyer Bombing runs that end in a variety of fun times, including small business and local posting outlets in our loop to get a coordinated flyer surge when time is of the essence for some outreach.  http://groups.google.com/group/pdx-flyer-squad
Looking for reliable printing sources for flyering.  Free Geek? Production printer donation? Crowd sourced printing? Ask GA for money to buy a production printer!

Food Request from Uta-
Food team needs food donations.  Raw rice and beans are fully stocked.  Cans of food and produce is needed.  Raw materials.  Thanks.

Community Organizer Development Experience(C.O.D.E.)- Liam: New development of the Organizer Skills Workshops.  We have started to develop an ongoing organizer training program in Our School Occupy Portland that will give participants a more full understanding of movement history strategy and theory as well as a solid set of grassroots and direct action skills as a group put those skills to practical application in their current socio-political environment by working with Portland Action Lab and the Neighborhood Assemblies and much more.  More info to come.
Neighborhood Assemblies- Taking a step back and assessing the challenges with the last two assemblies in the NE and the West.
