Please forward this, folks:

I had the great fortune of speaking with professor Friedland of Lane community college Eugene this evening. He is the "mathematician person" I've spoken of who validates my research and clinical findings regarding the occupi along with my predictions going forward. He's a scientist and a genius mathematician. He and I continue to express great concern going forward due to the apparent exponential growth factors manifesting as polymorphic progressions in the form of occupations globally. This is quite serious.

Professor Friedland has studied revolutions, movements and protests over a century in scope. Based on his experience and scientific research, he stated that the chief anti-cohesive factor facing all of us as members of occupation colonies, is ...EGO. He stated that a shared vision is critical and that without this, there will be inevitable failure. He became aware during our conversation of course, that I myself have been asking PDX to establish a MISSION STATEMENT and to agree as committees, groups and individuals to adhere to the ratifications being passed. Again, this has yet to come to pass... Professor Friedland expressed both great concern, having noted this phenomena with Occupy Eugene and other occupations as well as relief that I (and we collaborating in cooperative association who are going to LA) was aware of the issue and that we converging to LA understand this serious issue and are working to resolve it.

Further, he stated that to be successful, there is a necessary leadership requirement. This is not to be mistaken for there being a need for a LEADER, at all. Rather, the components making up the leadership - a council as it appears, may be representative of associated think tanks or groups. That is again what I've been recommending with detailed specifics. So much for egocentric actions by disparate groups and committees...

Specifically leadership in the form of the following is necessary along with a center of operations:

A communicator - One (or a task group) who finds or recruits new participants and who keeps those currently involved fired up, interested and focused. Who communicates with the public at large.

A financier - One (or a task group) who sustains the group. It could be as simple as a source of financial resource, but more specifically they support the members so they can focus on work without having to be concerned with the basics of how to survive. Meaning shelter and food.

A general - One (or a task group) who provides strategy. Where do we want to go? How will we go or get there? Why are we going? The pragmatic application of logistics to a specified intention.

Of course we then talked about the vetting process I've described countless times both in and out of assemblies. In any case, please share this with as many others as possible. He has asked me to be a single point of contact, although he did agree to come to LA in March, if he is able, to consult and help us as we ramp up the operations center there.

Be well, all.

PS - Because I've copied Professor Friedland to receive this email, I added "all occupy" to the subject at his request so it will be easy for him to pick out this email from all the messages he receives relating to his every day work.
