The WHO Department of Immunization Vaccines and Biologicals (IVB) is pleased to announce an upcoming second webinar series on Why Gender Matters for Immunization: IA2030.

The Immunization Agenda 2030 envisions a world where everyone, everywhere, at every age, fully benefits from vaccines to improve health and well-being. Gender-related barriers and gender inequality can prevent people, both male and female, from getting vaccinated. The goal of gender equality is to ensure that everyone has the same chances and opportunities to access and benefit from immunization services.

Building upon the first webinar series organized in 2023, this second series of webinars, based on the joint WHO, UNICEF and Gavi guidance document Why Gender Matters: IA2030, aims to further improve awareness and understanding of how gender-related barriers impact immunization. The series will focus on examples and best practices of gender-responsive programming to improve coverage and equity from around the world.

The webinar series will run across 5 sessions, on Thursdays from 15-16h (CET): 7 March, 4 April, 9 May, 6 June, and 11 July. Additional information available in the poster attached.

Sessions will be in English, with simultaneous translation into French.

Le département Vaccination, vaccins et produits biologiques de l'OMS a le plaisir d'annoncer une deuxième série de webinaires sur le thème « L’importance des questions de genre dans le programme pour la vaccination : IA2030 ».

IA2030 envisage un monde où chacun, partout, à tout âge, bénéficie pleinement des vaccins pour améliorer la santé et le bien-être. Les barrières liées au genre et l'inégalité entre les sexes peuvent empêcher les hommes et les femmes de se faire vacciner. L'objectif de l'égalité des sexes est de veiller à ce que chacun ait les mêmes chances et opportunités d'accéder aux services de vaccination et d'en bénéficier.

S'appuyant sur la première série de webinaires organisée en 2023, cette deuxième série de webinaires, basée sur le document d'orientation conjoint de l'OMS, de l'UNICEF et de Gavi L’importance des questions de genre dans le programme pour la vaccination à l’horizon 2030, vise à améliorer la prise de conscience et la compréhension de l'impact des barrières liées au genre sur la vaccination. La série se concentrera sur des exemples et des bonnes pratiques de programmation sensible au genre pour améliorer la couverture et l'équité dans le monde entier.

La série de webinaires se déroulera en 5 sessions, les jeudis de 15 à 16 heures (CET) : 7 mars, 4 avril, 9 mai, 6 juin et 11 juillet. Des informations supplémentaires sont disponibles dans le poster ci-joint.

Les sessions se dérouleront en anglais, avec une traduction simultanée en français.
