Folks,

(1) We've just had our proposal accepted for a workshop at ICSE in
Cape Town May 2010. I've posted the proposal here:
http://groups.google.com/group/se-for-the-planet/web/wsrcc-2b.pdf?hl=en
The reviewers' comments were mainly that we need to add more people
with domain knowledge to the organising committee (i.e.
climatologists), which we're more than happy to do (although it might
be harder to persuade them to travel to Cape Town just for the day).
However, we're also planning to explore how to support virtual
participation, for those who cannot travel.

(2) For anyone in Canada, we're having a 1/2 day workshop next
Thursday at IBM's CASCON conference:
https://www-927.ibm.com/ibm/cas/cascon/displayWorkshop?PublicView=true&Num=70
To provoke good discussions, we've asked people from a number of local/
regional climate and environmental actions groups to suggest areas
where they think software could help them. Should be an interesting
session - come along if you can!

Steve,
Will you be recording the session at CASCON this week?
Really interested to hear the guests' feedback.

Dear all,
This seems to be relevant too: http://www.iot2010.org/cfp/
It is on Internet of Things, but with a strong Green perspective.
