Hello David! I have some questions from a Sauce Labs customer that I am hoping you can help with?

========

1) I created a test that would login, assert that the text logout is
present, wait for the same logout link is present, click on logout link
then assert if the user name field is present. Running the test is so fast
that it seems the builder has a difficult time catching up to the UI. On
the step where it clicks on logout link, is yellow but the user has already
logged out. From here the test doesn't continue. Sometimes, it does
eventually turn green but doesn't continue to the next step. Is there a way
to slow down the playback so it doesn't get stuck at clickElement?

I try pressing the stop playback button but it doesn't seem to stop.
Perhaps because the test - logging in and logging out has completed. Why
the doesn't the playback stop?

2) Is there a way to undo or back out any changes made to a step. for
example, on an existing step you edit locator. you make a change but what
to go back to previous entry. there is no cancel button.

3) On a step, I select to edit type from the context menu. Then click on
misc. When I click on acceptAlert it states “Dismiss the current alert”.
Click on dismissAlert its definition is “Accept the current alert.” It
appears the definitions for these two types should be switched.

========

Thanks!

Jean

You can use pause steps to explicitly wait for a number of seconds during playback, which may help. Is this in Selenium 2?

Not currently, but I've added a feature request for undo functionality here: https://github.com/sebuilder/se-builder/issues/180

Thanks! I've fixed this - just in time for the next Builder version!

I have a group of people recording scripts in the JSON format in a common location.

I am looking for a way to batch convert them to the Python format. Is there a way I could accomplish this?
Been trying for hours to figure this out / find an answer.

Thanks,
