Free Weatherization Training Program starting in 2 weeks!

Dear SDYDC,

 

If you know any southwest Detroit residents who are looking for a job, please make sure to tell them about Detroit GreenWorks Solutions (DGWS), a free green job training program.  DGWS is a collaboration between Southwest Solutions, WARM Training Center, Henry Ford Community College, Greening of Detroit and Detroit Workforce Development Department.  To learn more about the two free trainings we offer, please visit this website: www.dgws.org.

 

WARM Training Center and Henry Ford Community College have a free Weatherization training starting on November 22nd.  Interested resident can apply on-line here: http://www.swsol.org/greenworks_preapp

 

This training will be offered through the end of 2011, so there will be more trainings to come!

Program requirements: Must live in 48208, 48209, 48210, 48216, or 48217 (we have some flexibility for veterans).   Must be a legal citizen or resident.  Must be 18 or older.  Must be able to pass a drug test.
