Hi everyone,

There is a really dynamic art exhibit/show touring the country and stopping in Detroit this July, called America: Now and Here. http://americanowandhere.org/. Through theater, poetry, film, music, and visual art, the event seeks to create the space for meaningful dialogue around the most pressing issues of our communities.

I am going to be working with them in some capacity, and at the moment, they are in need of a couple eager production assistants to work with the show's producers, and be an integral part of the planning team. Job description is attached. Could be some really exciting summer work for someone looking for good experience and connections.

Please help circulate this around the arts, organizing, and event planning communities. Quick responses requested.

In the near future, the team will also be looking to bring on a staff of full time, temporary docents for the show. I will send out more info as I get it.

Please also let me know if there is anyone in particular I should be talking to that would like to contribute event ideas, connections, or volunteer time. This show has a ton of potential to mobilize a lot of people  around such vital issues as the future of public education, immigration, food security, commons based thinking, and more.

Feel free to drop me a personal note if you want to be involved on any level, and I'll do my best to make it happen.
