Hello all,

We're writing to ask that you please join us at the next community meeting regarding road closures in Roosevelt Park. The Roosevelt Park Revival, ongoing since 2008, is underway and we are looking to get community feedback for closing W Vernor Hwy. This is part of the master framework plan for revitalizing the park, in particular the development of the skate plaza. Please see our website for more information. The meeting will be at the Gaelic League 2068 Michigan Ave. on Wednesday June 22nd from 5:30-6:30pm. Please spread the word throughout your organizations: Department of Public Works, Parks and Recreation, Department of Planning and Development, City Planning Commission, Southwest Detroit Youth Development Council, Young Nation, Southwest Detroit Business Association, Corktown Residents Council, Southwest Solutions and Hubbard Farms Listserv as well as to other members of our community. We would love for you to be there with us and share your ideas and thoughts. We look forward to seeing you there!

Thank you,
Phillip
