Detroit Intercultural Summit
Exploring interculturalism in Metro Detroit and beyond
Metro Detroit is a strong and resilient set of communities, many of which are quite separate.
What would Metro Detroit be like if there were greater intercultural appreciation?
Come and be part of this exciting opportunity to engage in a truly global conversation. This unique exploration will focus on interculturalism and its possibilities for strengthening our communities both locally and globally.
What: Detroit Intercultural Summit will be two days of experiential education, collaborative and discussion based exploration of our interculturalism. We will work together towards a real and actionable plan(s) that could cultivate a more united Metro Detroit. We even have a small amount of funding to realize these plans.
Who: 18-25 year olds from different communities in Metro Detroit. We will be joined by trained young adults from around the world who will facilitate our exploration. Together from our unique perspectives we will collectively discover the possibilities of increased unity in our local and global communities.
When: June 23rd and 24th from 8am-8pm
Where: Just north of University of Detroit Mercy (Livernois and Six Mile - Address will be given to registered participants)
Cost: $10.00 –This includes three meals per day, snacks, materials and a super cool t-shirt!
