The Competition Fund is underwriting the cost of the Team Racing Clinic. According to its charter, this is an event that would NOT typically qualify for financial assistance from this fund.

Key people lobbied hard to provide funding for this event, as it was deemed critical to provide the added push for our Team Race Initiatives. I would hate for this funding to come under scrutiny because we cannot get enough bodies on the water.

As of this morning, only 13 people have signed up. That's enough to field 3 vs 3 in FJs, but we're using our J/22s. We need at least 18 people signed up, preferably more.

Without naming names (yet), there are at least 9 key people that have yet to sign up. Why?

I'm signed up for the June practices and working getting to the May practices as well, but it doesn't show my name on the website.  Looking forward to it!

We need 18+ people for each night to make this work.  24+ people would be better.  There are no age requirements, actually there are quite a few "Master's" events for the over 45 crowd that we can send teams to once we have enough people.
