Hello team,

Linda asked me to share this update regarding our working lunch at the board retreat:

I got a 'pre order' menu from the Holiday Inn. We order the day of the meeting. Its 12.00 plus gratuity and tax and includes a beverage. Can you pass this along to the board and see if they still want coffee available? No one is obligated to order lunch. Also, would 1:00 be a good time to have lunch served?

Linda or I will circulate the menu next week so everyone can make an informed choice about ordering there vs. bringing a bag lunch.

Given this new information, will those of you who drink coffee please coordinate with Linda about the coffee order?

Cheers,
Heather

Linda tracked down the Holiday Inn menu:

The Rueben: Shaved Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, Sauerkraut and Thousand Island Dressing served on Toasted Rye Bread with Fries or Fresh Fruit

Philly Steak and Cheese: Shaved Prime Rib, Sautéed Onions and Green Peppers, Topped with Melted Provolone Cheese Served on a Hoagie Roll with Fries or Fresh Fruit

Ultimate Burger: 8 oz Lean Ground Beef Topped with Lettuce, Tomato, Bacon, Red Onion and American Cheese on fresh Ciabatta Bread served with French Fries

Classic Club: Sliced Turkey and Ham with Lettuce, Tomato, Bacon and American Cheese on Toasted White or Wheat Bread with your choice of Fries or Fresh Fruit

Turkey Garden Wrap Sliced Turkey Breast Infused with Julienne Vegetables in a Sun Dried Tomato Wrap with Roasted Red Pepper Aioli with Fries or Fresh Fruit

Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad Crisp Hearts of Romaine Tossed with our Caesar Dressing, Grilled Chicken, Shaved Parmesan Cheese and Croutons

Beverages: Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Mountain Dew, Dr. Pepper, Iced Tea or Freshly Brewed Coffee

I think it would be nice if they provided Iced Tea, Freshly Brewed Coffee, and pitchers of Ice Water for the duration of the event for the benefit of all. Linda, is that what they offered for $20 or $30?  If so, I think it's definitely worth it. If it's only coffee and we have to bring our own water or other beverage, then I abstain and leave it to the coffee drinkers to decide.  Thanks for coordinating!

I'll probably order off the menu and will decide that morning based on what I have in the fridge. :)

Cheers,
Heather

I'm anticipating that by mid-July, I'll have boatloads of produce to contend with, so I'm planning to pack a salad.  However, if there's a beverage set-up that includes coffee, tea and water, I'd be interested in that.
