STD/HIV Update for Educators

Friday, October 24

This one-day training is intended for teachers, counselors, and school nurses who work with youth and will provide an in-depth look at STDs/HIV including trends, transmission, consequences, STD/ HIV connection, and appropriate risk-reduction messages for this population.  Available at this training will be free STD-specific resources, including “STD 101 for Teens” PowerPoint, and Making the Connection Between STDs and HIV Lesson Plans.

This training is offered through a partnership of the California STD/HIV Prevention Training Center, the County of San Diego, Health and Human Services Agency, the California Department of Public Health, STD Control Branch and the San Diego County Office of Education.

 

The California STD/HIV Prevention Training Center is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 14547 for 6 contact hours for STD/HIV Update for Educators.
