Naresh,

Would you please take down the SDT Conference wiki. Looking at
http://wiki.sdtconf.com/index.php?title=Special:Recentchanges I see that
it's now nothing but spam links. That's not only embarrassing, but it
pollutes the search engines.

Yes I did notice that. I'm planning to pull down that wiki. I'm also moving the website to my own server. I'm working on porting the site to rails. once I have that in place, you should have a clean site and a clean wiki. Thanks for your patience.

Good! I don't know if you can salvage any of the previous content as an
archive of the 2006 conference. One thing I've found with running public
wikis is that requiring a login greatly reduces the spamming. I've not
yet had to go to the further step of approving the login creation.

can't you just turn off public edit access?

My understanding is that you have to login to edit any page. Its been this way for ages.

Quit some time back I had cleaned up all the spam and taken a backup of the wiki. So when I start the new wiki, I'll load all the content. I think there is some useful stuff in there.
