Dear Friends,
It is with mixed emotions that I share with you that I am retiring at the end of the year. My last official day will be December 31, 2016. I have been at FPC for over 21 years and for the sake of the Kingdom, the church and my sanity I have decided to retire. I am looking forward to spending time with family, assisting churches in crisis and mentoring younger pastors. Be assured that FPC’s commitment to College Ministry will not change. As soon as our personnel committee reassigns the responsibility for the ministry, I will get that information to you. Until then I continue to look forward to working with you for the benefit of the Kingdom.
Shalom,
Pastor Chris

Dear Rev. Chris,
Also with mixed feeling I regard your incoming retirement. From
personal preference, I would like you to be with us all
time--you are such an excellent pastor, friend, and colleague to
work with and to listen to. From a higher perspective in
consideration of your family and other things you mentioned, I
understand your decision and pray that the Lord continues to use
you as a blessing vehicle to other people and churches.
Hope to stay in touch with you. The whole SDSU fellowship will
miss you, remembering your support of the Chinese student and
visiting scholar ministry, and more broadly, His Kingdom.
Blessings,
