Occupy Milwaukee Rally This Saturday!

Hey all—

This Saturday (10/29) at Lincoln Park, Occupy Milwaukee will be hosting a rally and march for social and economic justice. Big banks & billionaire plutocrats bought off politicians to rig the system in their favor. They deregulated Wall Street to turn it into a casino. They took money out of the real economy and good jobs to gamble on fake wealth. And they created a crisis.Banks and other corporations took in billions in profits, even amidst a recession. But the rest of us, the 99%, live with the crisis they created. Wealth & income inequality are out of control. Jobs are as scarce as foreclosures are plentiful. Political & economic power are in the hands of the 1%. This will not stand. So we take to the streets to rally and march.

The North Side has been especially hard hit by the current economic crisis and the long-term assault on working class and poor people. Century City symbolizes the economic violence committed against communities like Milwaukee. Thousands of families used to live in security with real opportunity from the good jobs that used to exist there. Since the decimation of good jobs at places like Century City, we've lived through the rise of poverty & inequality, skyrocketing foreclosures, and mass economic & social injustice. 

The people are fighting back. We are taking to the streets. We are the 99%. Join us!
