I know the bulk of traffic is on the Github side but since I’m not quite sure how to start a new thread over there I’m putting this out here.

I’m running the 11/22 nightly build but this is true for the last full release and I’m guessing true all along.

When setting up aliases for single channel P25 in our area they all have 5 digit talkgroup numbers.

The range option only supports 4 digits.

Many channels are low traffic so it is hard to get a talkgroup from them but the range doesn’t work since when a signal is there it’s a 5 digit one.

The other thing that might work is to have a wildcard feature.

I’ve got 14 single channels in a playlist and to get streaming to work I had to create an alias for each one.

If I could put all the channels under one alias that would be fine but because the range doesn’t extend to 5 digits nobody gets streamed.

In the User Preferences under the Talkgroup tab, it lets you select the display format for Talkgroup values for each protocol.

If you select hexadecimal, it causes the talkgroup and talkgroup range editors to limit the typed values to 4 characters (0x0000 to 0xFFFF).  If you select decimal, it allows you to enter values in the range 1-65,535.
