MDC1200

Greetings,

Is anyone decoding MDC-1200?  I'm trying to set it up on my local PD Freq (NBFM) but whenever I toggle the button to decode the MDC-1200 I cant get the radio to start playing that channel.  If I turn it off I can listen with no problems.

I don't currently but my local Police and Sheriff both use MDC1200 set to trailing edge.  I wasn't aware it was a feature of SDR Trunk.  I'll find the feature, enable it and post my findings.

So I enabled it, SDR-TRUNK carried on working as normal. Of course I can hear the MDC-1200 through the speaker, but the decoding results were off at best.  It incorrectly identified two units as having FIVE digit numeric identifiers and ignored most of the others.  

It might be settings-related, too much noise, too little gain, not sure.  There is a Timeslot box but Simplex analogue NFM systems don't have such things, so I might have a setting not right for analogue MDC decoding.

For comparison I put an APX radio next to the computer and it correctly decoded all the FOUR numerical digit identifiers each time.  More experimentation needed I think.
