Control Channel Heartbeat(s)

For my setup I need to come up with a means to have a "heartbeat" to
detect that the control channel (CC) are active.

I am going to keep this short to see what others might be doing in re
a CC heartbeat detector.

For now, I will add that any solution is Linux only... and a note I do
a SDRT heartbeat check via a custom BASH script, but if the CC fails,
Icecast just pumps out dead air... sigh...

So is any one doing any sort of CC monitoring for heartbeat check???

In the playlist Editor, make sure control channel decoded message logging is enabled. This will write in real time. If "sync loss" is detected, it's safe to say that the CC is not being decoded.
