Can SDRTrunk retain the Minimum Maximum Tuner frequencies of the Tuners

I tried to help a person that is using the latest SDRTrunk. 
Each time he changes the dongles USB port/hub, and restarts SDRTrunk, the Tuners tab does not retain the Minimum Maximum frequencies he has assigned to each dongle.
(I am not using the latest version).
Perhaps this is a known bug, or perhaps something is wrong with his setup/file system.

When a physical port is changed, Windows considers whatever is plugged in as a new device if it doesn't have a serial number.  Usually, lol.

Hi Noam,

This is indeed a known issue with SDRTrunk. The problem occurs because
SDRTrunk uses the dongle's serial number to uniquely identify each
tuner and save its configuration settings. When you move a dongle to a
different USB port, SDRTrunk may not properly retain the
minimum/maximum frequency settings you've configured.

The issue is that SDRTrunk experimented with using USB port numbers to
identify dongles, but this creates problems when dongles are moved to
different ports - the application treats it as a "new" tuner and loads
default configuration settings instead of the saved ones.

The recommended solution is to ensure each of your dongles has a
unique serial number. Many RTL-SDR dongles come with identical serial
numbers from the factory, which compounds this problem. You can change
the serial numbers using tools like rtl_eeprom to give each dongle a
distinct identifier.

Once each dongle has a unique serial number, SDRTrunk should properly
save and restore the tuner settings regardless of which USB port the
dongle is plugged into.
