New to SDRTrunk.

I have a dongle that works just fine in SDRSharp. However I have issues gettings SDRTrunk to run. Although very occasionally I can get it to run, and I see is the control channel, but there is a constant error about no suitable tuner for the channel. 95% of the time it simply doesn't run at all.

I've spent time trying varying solutions on the forum, but none seem to be specific to this issue.

Can you post a screenshot of your tuner tab?

Like this?

I sure can. I switched USB ports this morning and it worked once on a DMR channel, but nothing since.

Here's evidence it did work once this morning.

Here are my application logs and device manager screenshot.

It works with no problem in SDRSharp, everytime.

The first thing I see is that the RTL driver is not installed on the composite device.  This still works with SDR#, but other SDR-based programs might have an issue.

OK. How do I do that? I've installed the driver using Zadig using Bulk Interface 0. I haven't seen instructions for doing anything else beyond that.

I just found where you've posted this answer several times, but never how to. Do I just install that WinUSB driver to all of the devices with the matching PID? I noticed there are several. Or has someone posted newer instructions somewhere?

I went back and installed the composite device and ran rlt_test. These are the latest screenshots. Still the same issues.tuner.PNGerrorbox.PNGlogsnip.PNGrtl_test.PNGDM.PNG

After reading ( a lot) I started to read people with AMD Ryzen 5 were having USB specific issues. I updated BIOS and chips at drivers and viola, it is working. I have no audio, but I think it's just the 2.4mhz bandwidth limitation on the 1 trunked system I've tested on.

More testing to come tomorrow.

I've posted how to change Zadig to apply the WinUSB driver to the composite device many times. I'm glad you found where / got it to work or at least not throw errors in the log.  Making sure that you have the latest system drivers, bios, Windows / Linux updates etc. applied is assumed, and always the first step when troubleshooting misbehaving systems.  The "no audio" is still a bit concerning, but if the traffic channels are significantly divergent (> +/- 1.8 MHz) from the control channel, you will need at least one more RTL device depending on what channel frequencies are in use.  You also should manually adjust the ppm to make sure the RTL device is accurately tuned.  Knowing what exact system / site you are trying to monitor would be a helpful data point.

I added a second dongle and the "no audio" is resolved. The channel spacing is quite the range on a city-wide simulcast system. This is the primary system I am monitoring and it's working well now. https://www.radioreference.com/db/sid/10024

I wasn't saying you "never" posted a solution, I just couldn't ever find any follow up posts with a solution.
