When using the Airspy R2 with SDRT I only have drop down to select the sample rates of 2.4 MHZ and 10.00 MHZ. Is it possible to have the ability to select a different sample rate then offered?

No it';s not.
Why would you want anything else other than 10?

If you don't need the full 10 MHz of spectrum, you can cut down on the USB bandwidth used by selecting a lower sample rate. There are some trunked sites that have all frequencies within a few MHz of each other, so selecting a sample rate lower than 10 (but more than 2.4) would increase efficiency somewhat.

It's certainly not an unreasonable question/request to have more options. SDRTrunk allows you to select from a number of sample rates when using an SDRPlay device (0.250 up to 10 with a lot of steps in between), no reason the Airspy R2 couldn't offer the same (assuming the device is physically capable of operate at sample rates other than 2.4 or 10).

I run 5 seperate sites (769 to 772 area) with lots of possible channels and they are all close enough i could use about 5MHz of bandwidth and get them all just fine, while saving some traffic on USB and maybe a bit of device heat. Possibly also some CPU utilization?

Airspy firmware supports 10 / 2.5 for the R2 and 6 / 3 for the Mini.   Not sure that an external application can do anything to change that.
