I use SDRTrunk on a Linux machine that I rarely have physical access to, so everything is done via remote. With that said, I noticed that regardless of physical or remote access, the SDRTrunk window is horribe at automatically scaling, or I cant resize it at all, even manually. So i run into situations where I actually have to resize different boxes and columns in the playlist editor just to even see the stuff I need to adjust. And this is even with a 1920x1080 monitor with 100% scaling on local and remote screens, but the window is still oversized.

Distro ?
Memory ?

Internet connection, speed, routers, how is this machine connected ie: 802.11[xxxx], wired etc.. Access are you mainly accessig within the LAN or outside ie: WAN to the box from some place else? How are you accessing it in that capactiy.

Well how are you using it "remotely?" XVNC? XPRA? host wise

Accessing machine? Linux? Distro? Accessing program(s)?

I access my SDRT's via a couple means, and one is pretty niche so I am going to discount that unless you specifically mention it.

Using the STANDARD krdc/krfb (VNC protocol) of KUbuntu, I don't have any issues with it, barring of course the issues with using it over this software. I don't really tend to do much with it either, check status is 99.9999% of it... if theres an issue SSH in and restart things or flip over to the konsole tab and restart..

As for window sizing.. I pretty much run the host full screen on the krdc/krfb setups.. and don't try to resize the window. I will resize the spectrum and waterfall to pretty much nothing since I disable that and its of no value in my setups. I want to see the active frequencies, CC stream data and streaming stats..

I can and have resized these "sections" and the columns of the sections to get things the way I want both physically and remotely. Never had an issue, but its pretty much set it forget once done.

I have the same issue.
running 6.1 beta and 6.0 is the same.
Running Ubuntu 22.x and 24.x
Accessing via RDC, but it's the same with a monitor plugged in

I have the same issue running sdrtrunk on windows (10 and 11)
I have to resize and adjust the waterfalls every time.
It would be great if the window would retain its scaling/sizing windows.
Adjusting windows is the 1 manual process in all of my machines when reboots are needed.

I also encountered this issue.  Linux mint and remote vnc would break it and even physically hooking monitor up still couldn't fix it.I couldn't click save cause I couldn't see the button. I changed computers and video cards and it doesn't happen to me anymore. I posted a bug report with pictures last year. Others posted some workarounds but it's still a bug https://github.com/DSheirer/sdrtrunk/issues/1818

SDRTrunk v0.6.0 stable on MX Linux v6.1.0-18 (AMD64) [Debian 6.1.76-1] 64bit.

Dell OptiPlex 7010 - Intel Core i7-3770S @3.1ghz - 8GB DDR3 1600MHz.

RemotePC for remote access.

The main window opens and scales just fine, its the playlist editor thats the issue. The elements within the Playlist Editor window are fixed size and will not allow the window to be less than 1921x1568. (as reported by "xdotool selectwindow getwindowgeometry") And I also noticed that the maximize/window button between the close and minimize button does nothing for playlist editor either. Neither makes it bigger or smaller.
