SDRPlay how to?

So today, I read a comment on FB about using the SDRPlay devices with SDRTrunk.
I then commented if this would require downloading some API from SDRPlay, to which the poster claimed that if I have SDRuno already installed then it would work with SDRTrunk.

Well. here I am to proclaim it does not.

I even went ahead and search for the latest API, downoladed and installed it.

Fired up SDRconnect, launched SDRTrunk and the tuner is not seen by it.
I also tried launching SDRuno and again, no dice.

So, can an RSPdx device be used with SDRTrunk?

If so, what am I missing?

I do have API 3.15.

Yes it sure can - if you’re using the newest SDR trunk you can use API 3.15, otherwise look at their legacy software and download API 3.14

What version are you using?
IIRC I don't think 6.0 supports it, but I think 6.1 beta does.
But I'm not 100% sure.

Short answer is that SDRConnect should not be running when using SDRTrunk.

 

I’m using an RSPdx and it works great. Even better if you use Rdio-Scanner along with it.

I have the RSPdx-R2. Not seeing that in the list of supported SDRplay devices?

Ahhh you have an x-R2. Yeah I don't think that is supported yet.
Your OG post did not specify R2

Support for the RSPdx-R2 (along with API 3.15) was added on May 26th. Need to be running the most recent nightly build (June 2nd) for it to work.

New user. I have installed SDRUno and SDRPlay, and SDRTrunk (Windows)
v0.6.1-beta-1, but the RSP1A is not recognized when the app is started.
SDRPlay API Service (v3.15) is running. Would appreciate help.

the only api that work for me was v3.11.

it's working on all SDRTrunk versions.

3.14 and 3.15 works good on nightly but not on version 0.6.0 (final) 12/2024
