This video shows a set of reception tests of the Ham It Up (Plus) using a RTL-SDR vs a simple RTL-SDR Stick. Both devices were tied to the same antenna through identical transmission lines and a two for one splitter. The test was done using SdrGlut to view both devices at the same time. The Ham It Up (plus) was almost identical to the RTL-SDR Stick (Direct Sample Mode On) on all tested frequencies.
The bottom line is the Ham It Up (Plus) using a RTL-SDR no better than a simple RTL-SDR Stick.
