Subject: Investigations for diagnosis of Covid19

The basic laboratory investigations for diagnosis of COVID-19 may include routine blood count (i.e., lymphocyte count and neutrophil count), D-dimer, IL-6, lactate dehydrogenase, procalcitonin, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and C-reactive protein (CRP). These can be considered as the prognostic markers. Initial baseline bedside chest X-ray can be advised.
