SUMMARY
We currently have a full time opening for a Mechanical Engineer IV in our Vista, California headquarters.

The ideal candidate will be a Mechanical Engineer with experience designing and testing plastic parts and assemblies. This engineer will work as a key member within an engineering team to develop and improve global products for the swimming pool industry.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To be a key project leader in the development of new technologies and products.
• Design parts and assemblies using SolidWorks CAD software.
• Analyze part designs using sound engineering principles, FEA software and the utilization of in-house prototyping methods.
• Participate in product development programs as the team’s engineer, meeting task goals and deadlines.
• Work with suppliers to ensure project goals are met and to resolve any engineering issues that arise.
• Oversee activities of testing personnel and designers to meet project goals.
• Develop and document test plans and Engineering Changes.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of mechanical engineering.
• Proficient mechanical design skills using SolidWorks CAD software.
• Ability to work independently, as a team member, and as a team leader.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven track record of accomplished projects with increasing responsibilities

PREFERRED
• Supervision or management experience.
• Experience as a project engineer.
• Experience focusing on new product development of consumer products.
• Working knowledge of plastic dynamic assemblies (hinges, gears, bearings, or similar).
• Knowledge of plastics injection molding and tooling.
• Willing to travelling domestically and overseas as needed.
