Amati Communications Corporation based in San Jose, California
is a rapidly expanding manufacturer and supplier of ADSL
(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) systems which can offer
broad band services on existing twisted pair copper networks.
We are currently seeking a Telecommunications System Engineer
with the following professional profile:

BSCS with 3-5 years industry experience in a telecommunications/inter
networking industry with installation, testing and maintenance of
telecommunications systems and services.

Working knowledge of ISDN, frame relay, T!, T3, DS1/DS3 skills as
well as an in-depth knowledge of bridging, routing, and ethernet
switching
in a WAN environment.

Knowledge of Central Office equipment. In addition, knowledge of outside
cable plants is desirable.

Computer and communications systems diagnosis and troubleshooting are
musts as well as a strong understanding and desire to work in a team
environment.

Good organizational, written and communications skills are needed.

Willing to travel and have a valid passport.

Duties and responsibilities...
Provide second level technical support for customer related problems.
Provide on-site support and training.
Provide pre and post sales support. Aid account representatives in
developing sales strategies.
Possess superior technical design capabilities and be proficient at
working configurations for the equipment at hand.
