Trellises - at the Town & Country in Mission Valley

Lunch with a business associate who was staying at the T&C, and he
picked that hotel's "high end" restaurant: Trellises.

It was certainly one of the worst dining experiences I've had, though we
all struggled to smile through it.

Overdressed and overpriced food was based on terrible recipes with
improbable and distasteful combinations of ingredients. The preparation
was worse, with gross errors that could be seen and tasted. To round out
the experience, the service was horrible.

Business at the restaurant was (understandably!) slow, so that was no
excuse.

Appalling. About $25 per person, with no alcohol.

At the beginning of our lunch, the server gave us a card asking for a
favorable review on Trip Advisor.

Yowch. I certainly hope you give them a fully truthful review on Trip
Advisor, whatever that is...
