The sdnet.* newsgroups are regional to San Diego. Regional newsgroups
exist for and by the people of that region. All regional hierarchies on
usenet were created for the use of their local areas and have specific
policies. We do welcome outsiders as guests but they should respect our
local hierarchy policies. One such policy is your articles should be
relevant to the San Diego region.

In the case of sdnet.politics, it is a San Diego newsgroup for articles
about San Diego politics.
