IT'S THE GATEWAY AT 12.228.56.1 THAT IS BAD

THE FIX IS TO MANUALLY CONFIGURE.
I'M NOW USING 12.230.174.1 GATEWAY

Full access. Speed is just fine for me. Just streamed 300K video from
windowsmedia.com with no problems. All email is working fine now.

FULL SETTINGS ARE:
IP (same as was automatically assigned)
SUBNET (same as was automatically assigned)
GATEWAY (12.230.174.1)
Primary DNS 204.127.198.4 (the working one in CA)
Secondary DNS 63.240.76.4 (the working one in NY)

Be sure to go to a Command Prompt and type each of the following lines (hit
enter after each)
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns

You can be doubly sure by powercycling to be sure but I didn't have to by
issuing these commands and becuase I'd already power cycled the modem
recently.

AT&T I hope youre' listening. Your customers are figuring out your problems
for you including the work arounds.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!
