Anyone using EK 1001, found them to be extremely helpful? What's your opinion on those series of books?

It's a great source of practice questions. I know lots of people who used only EK and scored over 35. But with EK books, you should already know your stuff pretty well because the lecture books don't explain that well.

Ok thanks. I bought the EK 1001 books for each subject. I figured that could be tons of great practice along with Berkeley's passages as well.

I am using the EK 1001 books along with Kaplan books for Gen Chem & Bio and BR for Ochem and physics. I find the EK 1001 books helpful. I also find them helpful when I am losing interest in reading through some of the other books. I go do some of the EK 1001 questions and I get more motivated to continue to study. Maybe thats just me though. :)

I also heard the EK 1001 Physic book is very hard, so don't get discouraged. I haven't done any of the physics questions yet.

Ugh. Physics. My arch nemesis. :( But thanks for the advice on the books. I just want to make sure I'm working on practice problems that will actually help me instead of hinder me. I only want to take this test once. :)

Dude, I am getting raped by EK 1001 Physics. Although its a pretty bad feeling, but when you get on to other materials, they appear like a piece of cake,

Do you guys do all the questions or just every third ones like the book suggests?

I like the bio EK 1001 because it has both stand alone questions and passage based questions. But other science EK 1001 books have only stand alone questions. Personally, I supplement them with BR passages.

I have all the EK 1001 question books. Here us what I plan to do. Feel free to give me your input. I'm taking the Jan 28th exam which means the last day I'll study is Jan 26th. So starting from Sunday Nov 28th until Dec 28th, I plan to get through all 4004 questions. Yes, sounds crazy, i know. Lol. That's 160 questions a day (excluding saturdays for me) , which is about 40 questions from each book (bio, orgo, chem, and physics). I'm pretty sure that's doable. I'll probably do more than 40 questions a day if I can help it. From  Dec 29th to Jan 26th, I will be doing the berkeley passages and practice tests in between. If I run out of Berkeley passages, considering the amount of time i have left b4 my real exam, I will move on to the Kaplan questions that I have. I will be doing every third question in the book instead of going sequentially.

I think the 1001 questions are only necessary when you feel that you don't understand the subject very well. I'd say do all the passages that you have (Berkeley, Kaplan, EK bio, EK mini MCAT,and other sources you might have) and see where your weak point is. There is so much to gain from doing passages than to do stand alone questions.

Also, don't forget to do at least 3 verbal passages daily on top of these.

Ok thanks. That sounds like a great idea actually.
