AN APPEAL

The SDMCET Alumni Association has been striving for the past two decades for augmenting the facilities on our campus in cooperation with SDM Management.

All are aware that in 2005, we the Alumni contributed for a Guest House cum auditorium named ‘Silver Jubilee Alumni Block’ and it is now one of the most widely used buildings/infrastructure on the campus today.

Now, on the occasion of the 40th year of the college, we have undertaken an ‘Alumni Multi Utility Sports Complex’ which is designed to fulfill the need for an indoor sports facility on the campus. This magnificent complex (drawings attached) will have four Badminton courts or one volley ball or one basket ball court on flexible requirements and also a TT room, gents and ladies Gym and basic dormitory facilities.

It will be useful for all indoor sports activities and also double up as an auditorium for nearly 1500 people when needed. It will serve a very big need of the campus.

The approximate cost of this complex is around Rs. 2 crores. The management has graciously agreed to share half this cost and has requested Alumni to raise balance amount.

Since our Alma mater has been instrumental in shaping our destinies, this is an opportunity to give something back. We hereby appeal to all alumni generously contribute to this effort in providing our campus with excellent facilities. We are sure that the benevolence of the alumni will help realize this project at the earliest.
