SD Jeepin' New Years Celebration

at SD Jeepin’ are here to save your holiday season!
Join us for a weekend of camping and off-roading in the desert outside
of Truckhaven in the Ocotillo Wells off-highway vehicle area. Whether
you come for the whole time or just for a night, it stands to be a fun
time.
The area we’ll be camping at is near a gas station with shower
facilities (about 5-10 minute drive), and there are bathrooms near the
camp site. Food, water, gas, cooking supplies – anything and
everything you might need is up to you to bring, so pack well and come
prepared.
The off road areas out in Truckhaven are some of the best in the area.
Hundreds of miles of trails, rocks, river beds – you can find
something as technical or easy as you’d like. The days will be full
of off-roading and Jeeping, and the evenings will be filled with BBQs,
bon fires, eating, celebrating, and likely a handful of adult
beverages. There may be some of us who take a trip to do some target
shooting in the desert, so if you’re interested in that pack
accordingly as well.
The coordinates are 33.256094, -116.010346 off of Holly Rd near Hwy
86. Initial plans have us on CB channel 14 if you want to try and
reach us while you’re headed out there. Cell phone coverage is pretty
good out there, so get contact information for someone if you plan to
come out.
