That’s right gang, your favorite local Jeep club is about to celebrate
its second birthday and start year number 3 – not too bad! So join us
for a celebration and get-together with all your SD Jeepin’ friends.

When – Sunday, July 1st, 11:00am – 1:00pm or whenever folks leave.
Where – Fiesta Island, in the usual spot (more details below)
What – A BBQ, so bring food to share and if you have a portable grill,
bring that too. Firewood, tables, pop-up tents, chairs, footballs, RC
cars, dogs, children, deserts… if it sounds like something that would
be good for a beach BBQ, then you should bring it. Unfortunately,
it’s illegal to drink or smoke on the beach so be informed with
whatever you chose to do in that regard.
Who – If you own a Jeep or just love Jeeps, then you.
Why – This one is only included out of respect for the other 4 ‘Ws’ –
the Why should be obvious.

We’ll also have all the SD Jeepin’ schwag for sale, and if you
pre-ordered something we’ll have that for pickup. Shirts, key chains,
magnets, decals – you got it!

If you’ve never been to one of our other BBQs, or never been to Fiesta
Island, here’s where we’ll be: Fiesta Island is in the middle of
Mission Bay. It is accessible by one road off of East Mission Bay
Drive, which is generally easiest to get to off the 5 onto Sea World
Dr. Once on the island, you can only go one way. About a mile in
there will be a fork in the road – go to the left. Once you get to
the T, look for the Jeeps – we’ll try to set up camp in this area as
it’s near to the bathrooms and easy to get to. Turn onto the dirt and
drive up the hard-pack if you can’t find us as we may have to pick a
spot further up the beach. If you’re a Lat/Long type of person, we’ll
be around 32.78101, -117.22146

Also – it’s coming on the close of our year and the term for our board
members is up. If you are interested in being a board member and
helping guide the future of the club, please let me know! It’s a
generally low-key responsibility, though it does require you to be
motivated.
